While roaming the streets of Auburn, a suburb of Sydney, I was surprised to find this beautiful mosque which is not only built like an Ottoman-style mosque but is also named (Auburn) Gallipoli Mosque. Gallipoli in Turkey is famous for the failed Allied offensive in 1915 in World War I. The Allied forces which included Australians also had suffered heavy loss in the Battle of Gallipoli. As per Wikipedia the mosque is largest mosque in Australia and is used mainly by Australians of Turkish origin.
