Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch

The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Hartford, Connecticut is the first permanent triumphal arch in America. Dedicated in 1886, it was built to honour the Hartfordians who served in the Civil War and in memory of those who died for the Union. (Wikipedia). Also see CT Monuments Net
