The headquarters of the Taiwanese watch dog - Control Yuan, an investigatory agency that monitors the other branches of government. The building, completed in 1915, was originally Taihoku Prefecture's Office in Japanese Colonial Period and is one of the few renaissance style buildings still existing in Taiwan.
