This monument located in Ruisui town of Taiwan is one of several monuments around the World marking the Tropic of Cancer. Taiwan itself has few more such monuments/markers.
A few years back I had made a collection of the Equatorial Monuments around the World and finding this in Taiwan has rekindled my curiosity to locate and placemark the monuments around the World on the Tropic of Cancer as well as on Tropic of Capricorn. I was also working on the Polar Circle markers around the World and but due to one reason or another it is lying in Cold storage. I need to find time to thaw it out also.
