The spots in the lake are not my mischief () but natures creation. The lake near the city of Osoyoos, British Columbia, contains some of the highest quantities (in the world) of magnesium, calcium and sodium sulphates and other minerals. When the water evaporates, the lake is often spotted with nearly transparent rings of salt crystals. Because of these spots the lake is officially known as "Spotted Lake" More images and info in my blog - Travelogue Of An Armchair Travelogue
