Clouds In The Lake

Finland boasts of more than 187,000 lakes and most of them appear to be very calm (atleast in GSV) giving the water surface a mirror like apperance. Lake Pyhäjärvi in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finalnd, is one such lake in which even the clouds are reflected in their full beauty.

Intake Tower, Craig Goch Dam

Craig Goch Dam built in 1904 is one of the four dams in Elan Valley. Main purpose of these dams was to supply water to Birmingham, about 130 km (80 miles) away. The domed structure is the intake (aka valve tower) for the water channel. Many dams built during that period had such a tower design known as 'Birmingham Baroque'

Turquoise Lake

Turquoise coloured lake with a mountain in the background is an ideal subject for landscape painters. I was lucky to find the this beautiful scene of Waterfowl Lake with Mount Chephren in the background in Alberta, Canada.
