Moorish Palace

When I saw this exotic building with onion domes topped with crescent my first thought was that it is some mosque with beautiful architecture. I was totaly wrong, it is the Moorish Palace at Tivoli Gardens - the famous amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park which opened on August 15, 1843 is the second oldest amusement park in the world.

Hall of Mirrors

I always wanted to see the Versailles in real life. It is unlikely that my wish will ever come true so I decided to visit it through Google Street View and was completely awe-struck when I saw the Hall of Mirrors which forms the central gallery of the Palace of Versailles. It is exquisitely beautiful beyond words and is reportedly one of the best decorated and most beautiful rooms in the world.

'Iolani Palace

'Iolani Palace, in Honolulu is the only royal palace in USA. It was the official residence of Hawaiian monarchy till the reigning queen was overthrown in 1893. Thereafter until 1969, the building was used as the capitol building and is now a public museum. (Wikipedia)

The Golden Cascade

The Golden Hill Cascade or the Marly Cascade fountain at Peterhof are part of beautification of the area near Peterhof Palace. These fountains were originally built in 1732 and renovated in 1870 when the lead cast statues were replaced with marble statues. The risers have been lined with gilded copper hence the name Golden Hill Cascade.

Tsaritsyno Palace Arch


The Arch of the XVIII century Tsaritsyno Palace in the south of Moscow. It was founded in 1776 by the order of Catherine the Great.

Golden Statues at Russian Versailles (Peterhof Palace)

Grand Peterhof Palace is a series of palaces and gardens located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is famous for its architechture, well laid gardens and exquisite collection of paintings, statues and royal furniture. These Palaces and gardens are commonly referred as the "Russian Versailles".
