This work has been created from the Street View of a sculpture found in the concourse of The Palais Bourbon, the seat of the French National Assembly. Labelled as Les Galates vaincus (The vanquished Galatians) it is also called "The Galatian Suicide" and depicts a Gaul in the act of plunging a sword into his breast, looking backwards defiantly while he supports the dying figure of a woman with his left arm.
The sculpture is one of the few replicas of an early 2nd century Hellenistic original commissioned by Attalus I after his victories over the Gauls of Galatia. (Wikipedia)

Deep Blue Sea
Deep Blue Sea off the coast of Bonifacio, Corsica, France. I hope there are no Sharks in these beautiful blue waters. When I tried to search for "Deep Blue Sea" in Google Images, Google failed me badly. The search results were mainly images of Sharks and other scenes from the movie. I tried filters like -shark and -movie but still Google failed.

Château de Chenonceau
The Chenonceau Château with an exceptional location, over the Cher River, is an architectural mixture of late Gothic and early Renaissance. It has some very well laid gardens and finely decorated rooms and Chapel. It was gifted by King Henry II to his mistress Diane de Poitiers. After the death of King, his widow and Regent Queen Catherine forced Diane to vacate the Château and made it her residence. Château's interior and its gardens have a strong stamp of these two women. After the Royal Palace of Versailles, Château Chenonceau is reportedly the most visited château in France. (Wikipedia)
