A view of the lobby of Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. The building built in 1901 was originally the Utah Hotel. The hotel which was mainly funded by Latter-day Saints (LDS) Church, ceased operation in 1987 and the building was renovated and is now a social center with restaurants, banquet rooms etc. Several floors of the building also house the administrative offices for LDS Church. On January 3, 1978, it was included in the National Register of Historic Places as the Hotel Utah. More info: Wikipedia
